How I transformed dense data systems into clear operational interfaces — from redesigning a critical panel to building a full desktop ecosystem from a mobile app.
VRTSync carried a high cognitive load due to data density and the lack of a clear distinction between the needs of different user profiles — Administrators vs. Field Users. The panel had to be restructured to allow fast, visually intuitive task and report management without losing technical precision.
High cognitive load from data density and no clear hierarchy between distinct user profiles with completely different operational needs.
A new Information Hierarchy focused on layered visibility: macro for managers, micro for field users — with a fluid transition between both modes.
In the Admin Panel, I introduced different map levels with category indicators and task grouping, letting managers see the status of the operation at both macro and micro level in a few clicks. I refined the interface for Desktop, Mobile, and iPad so that critical information was always within reach, regardless of the hardware.
The redesigned Admin Panel: map levels with category indicators and tasks grouped by user.
Expanded map view: different zoom levels with real-time status indicators.
TCS Mech existed only as a mobile solution, which limited how far back-office teams could manage operations at scale. The challenge was designing a Desktop Admin Panel experience from scratch that kept the app's familiarity while taking advantage of a larger screen for complex data management.
A 100% mobile product with no web version at all. Back-office teams needed a more robust management interface for operations at scale.
Full creation of the Desktop Admin Panel and its responsive mobile version — from scratch. Including the design roadmap and every navigation flow.
I designed the entire Desktop Admin Panel architecture around a dashboard that prioritizes the real-time status of the operation, using modular components that make metrics easy to read and records easy to edit in bulk. I built the design roadmap and navigation flows to keep the transition between devices seamless.
TCS Mech Desktop Admin Panel: dashboard with real-time status and modular components for management at scale.
| Project | Result |
|---|---|
| VRTSync | A high-fidelity interface that reduced ambiguity in report management and optimized task allocation. A system scalable to new user flows while keeping visual consistency and data integrity. |
| TCS Mech | A complete Desktop + Mobile ecosystem that professionalized administrative management. Delivered with UI documentation and a defined roadmap, accelerating the development cycle. |
| Cross-platform | Both systems delivered with visual consistency across Desktop, Mobile, and iPad — making sure critical information was available on any device. |
